Option 2 According to the video, spiritual assessment is an activity which every healthcare professional must practice. It helps to understand the spiritual ideology and desires of the patient and helps to carry out the process of treatment and healing in a better manner. It is important to include the spiritual assessment to get a better understanding of the beliefs as well as practices. This reduces the gap between the health care practitioner and the patient and consequently makes the process of treatment smooth. There are total of six questions will help the to enhance the spiritual well being of the client. Health care professionals must know this aspect and use it in order to maintain a proper balance between the mind, body and soul. To some extent yes, the personal belief system of the health care professional does affect his or her ability to assess spirituality in another. But when there is high level of professionalism then it does not matter because the health care professional is trained to understand and accept the spiritual needs to patients. My personal outlook in the matter is that I will always try to make things better and their mental comfort is the main aspect here. My approach will always be that of respect and care and if needed I am ready to be flexible with my spiritual outlook, all for the betterment of the patient.
